Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5: "Primal Reckoning" Brings Zoo Map, NieR: Automata Crossover, and More

COD Mobile Season 5 adds Zoo map, VMP SMG, NieR: Automata event, Buy Stations, and more.

Activision has revealed Season 5: Primal Reckoning for Call of Duty: Mobile. The update introduces new gameplay features, events, weapons, and operator skins. A major highlight is the collaboration with NieR: Automata. Other additions include the return of a classic map, a new SMG, and Buy Stations in Battle Royale.

Zoo Map Joins Multiplayer

The Zoo map returns from Black Ops. This medium-sized map is set in an abandoned zoo. Players fight across overgrown exhibits, old souvenir shops, and a rusting monorail track. Its decayed look matches the season’s dystopian theme.

Buy Stations Arrive in Battle Royale

Buy Machines now appear in Battle Royale on the Isolated map. Players can collect cash by looting or eliminating enemies. This money can be spent at Buy Stations to get weapons, perks, scorestreaks, and gear. Items include armor, ammo, and the Purifier flamethrower. But be careful—shopping makes you a target.

NieR: Automata Event Takes Over

A limited-time event teams Call of Duty: Mobile with NieR: Automata. Players control members of the YorHa Unit, battling against machines. Completing missions unlocks themed rewards like the Kui Ji – YoRHa No. 9 Type S Operator and four melee weapons.

Two themed Draws also arrive:

  • Kestrel – YoRHa No. 2 Type B, with the PP19 Bizon – Morph Symphony and melee weapons.
  • Fiona St. George – Commander White, featuring the AK-47 – Final Apocalypact and other items.

Store Expands with Mythic VMP and New Draws

The new Mythic VMP – Toxic Blooms is available through a Draw led by Rin Yoshida. This weapon has plasma-style effects and high-tech visuals.

Other upcoming draws include:

  • Rainbow Death, starring Bulldozer in a unicorn-themed suit.
  • NieR: Automata Draws, featuring themed weapons and operators.
  • The Battle Pass Vault brings back items from Season 8 – Train to Nowhere. Returning content includes:
