Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone drops January 28! Enjoy new maps, camo tracking features, Ranked Play rewards, and bug fixes, including the Master Prestige fix.

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is finally here, launching on January 28! The update promises tons of new content, exciting changes, and much-needed bug fixes for both games. Let’s break down everything that’s coming your way.

Goodbye, Master Prestige Bug

The infamous Master Prestige bug is finally being fixed! For months, players who had reached Master Prestige were bombarded with the “Congratulations, you’ve Mastered Prestige” screen after every match—frustrating, to say the least.

Treyarch confirmed in the Season 2 patch notes that this pesky bug will no longer haunt players, making the experience much smoother. Players were even getting prompts to Prestige again, only to encounter error messages since it wasn’t actually possible. Thankfully, this is now a thing of the past!

Multiplayer Madness: New Maps & Modes

Season 2 is delivering three fresh 6v6 maps to spice up Multiplayer gameplay:

  • Bounty
  • Dealership
  • Lifeline (also available as a 2v2 map in Gunfight mode)

In addition to the new maps, fans can expect new modes, perks, and Ranked Play rewards to keep the action exciting.

Track Your Progress with New Features

One highly-requested feature is finally making its way to Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies: camo challenge tracking. Similar to what we saw in Modern Warfare 3, players will now be able to manually track progress for up to 10 camo challenges and 10 calling card challenges in real-time while in-game. This is a huge quality-of-life improvement for those grinding for mastery camos!

Warzone’s Content: Quality Over Quantity

While Warzone fans are getting less new content than expected, Activision is focusing on bug fixes, gameplay tuning, and quality-of-life updates to improve the overall experience.

For Season 2, here’s what Warzone players can look forward to:

  • Reactive Armor Perk: Available at launch.
  • Low Profile Perk: Coming mid-season.
  • New Ranked Play Rewards.

While it’s disappointing that Warzone isn’t seeing as much new content, these updates aim to address the community’s biggest complaints and improve the game in the long run.

Season 2: What to Expect Next

With new maps, modes, and long-awaited fixes, Season 2 of Black Ops 6 looks like it’s addressing fan concerns while delivering exciting content for Multiplayer enthusiasts. While Warzone players may feel a bit left out, the promise of improvements could lay the groundwork for better seasons ahead.
