  • One Shot – A high-stakes mode where every hit counts

Meet the Lancers: FragPunk’s Playable Heroes

FragPunk features a diverse roster of Lancers, each with unique abilities and playstyles. Some standout characters include:

  • Broker – Packs a rocket launcher for explosive mayhem
  • Nitro – A tech wizard who brings futuristic gadgets into the fight
  • Pathojen – A toxin-wielding menace (who may or may not have borrowed from Poison Ivy)
  • Chum – The latest reveal, a robotic fighter with a quirky personality

More Lancers will be added with each new season, keeping the meta fresh.

Season 1: Wild Dawn & Post-Launch Content

FragPunk’s seasonal model follows a four-month cycle, with each season split into two chapters. Season 1: Wild Dawn kicks things off at launch, bringing:

  • New Lancers
  • New Shard Cards
  • Potential new game modes

The Shard Card system, which lets players alter fights on the fly, was a highlight of the game’s beta, and frequent updates should keep things exciting.

The Road Ahead for FragPunk

While FragPunk’s beta was well-received, its long-term success remains to be seen—especially given NetEase’s recent layoffs at Marvel Rivals, proving that even a strong launch doesn’t guarantee stability.

Still, with its unique mix of hero shooting, deckbuilding mechanics, and fast-paced action, FragPunk has the potential to carve out a niche in the competitive FPS space.

The game launches on March 6 on Steam and is completely free-to-play. Whether you’re into tactical team fights or chaotic brawls, this might be one to watch.
