Genshin Impact Version 5.6 "Paralogism" Brings New Characters, Bosses, and Game Modes
Genshin Impact 5.6 adds new characters, quests, bosses, and major system improvements.

HoYoverse has released Genshin Impact Version 5.6, titled "Paralogism". It features new characters, quests, bosses, and many system improvements. Maintenance began on May 7, 2025, at 06:00 (UTC+8) and lasted five hours. Players at Adventure Rank 5 or above get 600 Primogems via in-game mail.
Genshin Impact Version 5.6 New Characters
Two new characters are now playable:
- Escoffier: A 5-star Cryo polearm user from Fontaine. She supports with healing, Cryo damage, and resistance debuffs.
- Ifa: A 4-star Anemo catalyst user from the Flower-Feather Clan. He heals, supports with Swirl and Electro-Charged buffs, and can hover in combat.
New Weapons
Symphonist of Scents: A 5-star polearm that boosts ATK and grants buffs after healing.
Sequence of Solitude: A 4-star bow that deals AoE damage based on Max HP. Obtainable through the "Whirling Waltz" event.
New Story Content
Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act IV – "Paralogism" is now available.
Escoffier's Story Quest, "Treasured Above All", is also live. Quick Start is available until May 27.
New Bosses
The Game Before the Gate: A multi-phase boss in Galesong Hill with elemental mechanics.
Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device: Found in Atocpan. Uses Flow Momentum and is weak to Cryo and Nightsoul’s Blessing.
Both bosses unlock at Adventure Rank 40.
Events and Game Modes
- Genius Invokation TCG adds new cards and interface updates.
- Forge Realm's Temper: Clever Stratagems lets players set challenges and earn rewards.
- Imaginarium Theater launches June 1. It focuses on Cryo, Dendro, and Electro elements. Features Stella Rewards and rotating guest characters like Furina and Dehya.

- Map shows Domain rewards.
- Treasure Compass works better, especially in Natlan.
- Crafting UI remembers your settings.
- Training Guide shows clearer prompts.
- Imaginarium Theater adds detailed tracking and tutorials.
- Wishing interface now lets you exchange Primogems and Crystals more easily.
Audio and UI Updates
- Fixed missing sounds in Atocpan and during actions.
- Improved layouts in the Handbook, Character, and Map screens.
- Better labels and accessibility for talents and menus.
Bug Fixes
Many issues are now resolved. Fixes target characters, enemy behavior, effects, and incorrect text. Characters like Iansan, Furina, and Varesa received specific fixes.
