GTA 6 Map Recreated in GTA 5: Vice City & Leonida Now Playable with New Mod
Modders bring GTA 6’s rumored Vice City & Leonida map to GTA 5! Drive around Vice Beach and more with the new fan-made FiveM mod. Here’s how to try it before GTA 6 drops.

It’s been over a year since Rockstar finally dropped the first GTA 6 trailer, confirming what fans had hoped—we’re heading back to Vice City, now revamped as part of the larger state of Leonida.
Since then? Radio silence from Rockstar. No second trailer yet. So, naturally, fans have taken things into their own hands to piece together what Leonida might actually look like. And now, thanks to some talented modders, you can even explore a rough version of it inside GTA 5.
Modders Bring GTA 6’s Map to GTA 5
Enter Dark Space—a modder who, with help from a few others, has created a playable version of GTA 6’s rumored map using FiveM.
This fan-made map is built using:
- Bits of fan projects and speculation
- The classic Vice City map
- Screenshots and details pulled straight from the GTA 6 trailer
You can actually drive around areas like Vice Beach, the Venetian Islands, and Vice City itself to get a feel for the scale. Want in? You’ll need to join Dark Space’s Discord server for access.
What’s the Catch?
Of course, there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Lots of guesswork involved—the northern parts especially are based on pure speculation.
- Many buildings are straight imports from GTA 5, so you’ll probably recognize them immediately.
- Some textures don’t have collision effects, meaning you can drive right through them like you're in noclip mode.
- No proper night lighting yet, and Vice Beach is a bit more developed than what we'll probably see in GTA 6.
Will Rockstar Let This Fly?
That’s the big question. Rockstar and Take-Two have shut down fan projects before—especially ones that port maps from older games (RIP Liberty City in GTA 5 mod). Dark Space mentioned they’ll keep updating and improving the GTA 6-inspired map as long as Rockstar allows it.
TL;DR:
- Fans have modded a rough GTA 6 map into GTA 5 using FiveM.
- It’s based on trailer footage, fan theories, and the OG Vice City layout.
- Some bugs, no official blessing, but super cool if you want to get an early feel for Leonida.
