MSC 2025 is getting started with the Wild Card stage, and this time it’s looking a bit different. Hosted as part of the Esports World Cup (EWC), the tournament is bringing in teams from more regions than ever before. Now with the groupings officially out, we’re all set for a tense few days of MLBB action.
Wild Card Groups for MSC 2025
The Wild Card is made up of 8 teams, split into two groups of four. They’ll play in a double-elimination format. The top two teams from each group move to the playoffs. One winner from the playoffs gets to move into the MSC 2025 main event.

Every team here has something to prove. Some names are already known, others are just getting started. Virtus.pro and ZETA are both coming in with a lot of eyes on them. Still, this stage is open, and anything can happen.
Last year, Homebois started in the Wild Card and ended up going deep in the tournament. This year, they’ve earned a direct spot in the group stage. It shows what’s possible. Even one good run can change everything.
What’s After the Wild Card?
The Wild Card runs from July 10 to July 13. Once it wraps up, we’ll get the final list of teams for MSC’s group stage. That phase will also follow a group and playoff format to decide the winner of MSC 2025.
Right after MSC finishes, the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) 2025 kicks off. So, fans can expect back-to-back MLBB competition at the EWC. The Wild Card might only decide one spot, but it’s always full of upsets and breakout games. With new regions in the mix and only one slot available, every match is going to count.
