The turn-based strategy game Songs of Conquest is officially making its mobile debut. Publisher Coffee Stain and developer Lavapotion have confirmed that the game will be available for iOS and Android on March 13. Unlike many mobile ports that come with compromises, this version is expected to deliver the full experience of the PC release.
A True PC Port on Mobile
Developers have assured players that the mobile edition will not be a scaled-down or altered version but a complete port of the original game. Coffee Stain has emphasized that all core gameplay mechanics and features will remain intact, ensuring that mobile players get the same strategic depth as those on PC and consoles.
Lavapotion’s Art Director, Christian Knutsson, previously highlighted the team’s dedication to providing an immersive mobile experience, stating that significant efforts have been made to optimize the game while maintaining its original quality. This commitment suggests that Songs of Conquest on mobile will closely resemble its counterparts on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
A Look Back at Songs of Conquest’s Journey
Originally launched in Early Access in May 2022, Songs of Conquest reached its full 1.0 release in May 2024. Since then, the game has expanded to major gaming platforms, with additional content in development. Lavapotion has confirmed multiple expansions, including the upcoming Roots faction, set to arrive later this year.
Price and Player Expectations
Unlike many mobile strategy games that adopt a free-to-play model, Songs of Conquest will require a one-time purchase of $11.99/£11.99. While this pricing might make some players hesitant, the promise of a full-fledged PC experience on mobile could justify the cost.
