Starlight Legacy Set to Launch on Consoles This May
Retro-inspired JRPG Starlight Legacy launches May 28 on all major consoles.

Eastasiasoft Limited has officially announced that Starlight Legacy, a retro-inspired pixel art JRPG, will launch digitally on May 28, 2025. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical version is also in development for select platforms, with more details to be shared soon.
Developed by indie studio Decafesoft, Starlight Legacy draws inspiration from the 16-bit era of Japanese role-playing games while incorporating modern mechanics and widescreen visuals. The game follows the journey of three unlikely heroes who are swept into a large-scale conflict. Players will explore a vast, open kingdom in search of powerful artifacts to revive the ancient Eternity Tree.
The Starlight Legacy world is open to non-linear exploration. The player can explore four provinces in any sequence, developing their party, talking to townsfolk, battling monsters, and discovering secrets along the way. Combat uses a standard turn-based system, and dynamic 3D flight sequences are added to provide variety to travel.
Priced at US$12.99 / €12.99, the game will also offer a 20% launch discount in select regions and on certain platforms. It will be available in eight languages at launch: English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
