Tokyo Underground Killer Slashes Its Way to Consoles with Blood Powers, Neon Streets, and Fast Combat
Tokyo Underground Killer hits PS5 & Xbox in Q3 2025. Dive into neon-lit Tokyo, brutal combat, and blood-fueled powers in this intense first-person action.

It has been made known that the game Tokyo Underground Killer, which was previously only mentioned for PC, is also arriving now on consoles — PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This will happen sometime in the third quarter of 2025, as said by Phoenix Game Productions. Alongside this update, a fresh new trailer has also come out, showing all kinds of action with fast combat and mysterious Tokyo lights.
Tokyo Looks Strange, Yet Beautiful
When you see the city in this game, it's like Tokyo you know but also not really. It has heavy neon colours, strange lights, and tight streets full of shadows and crime guys. Main character Kobayashi is running through these places like some vampire ninja. In the words of director Daniel Hedjazi, it’s “like running fast and not stopping in night Tokyo, while music hits hard and light blurs your eyes.” That explains the vibe pretty well, honestly.
Combat That Is Both Fast And Bloody
The game uses swords and also powers from blood, which is unusual but cool. Players will cut enemies, dodge them, and also absorb blood to heal or use powers. Some blood powers let you stun enemies or pull them closer. There are 10 such blood type skills, so it’s not boring. Enemies, called Flat-liners, are not all the same – some are quick and sneaky, others are big like a wall.
In Between Fights, Chill In Your Apartment
When not fighting in the streets, players return to a small place in Shinjuku. Here you can do stuff like change the decor, try mini-games, or just walk around. Also, the player can upgrade their powers through skill trees. The story is also told in comic-style cutscenes, which are drawn by artist Hanzo, and look kind of like anime mixed with punk.
Music And Demo Are Also Out
The background music is made by Andrew Hulshult, who also did Dusk. It's full of synth and energy and plays along with action well. Also, right now the demo is live on Steam, so people can try it during June's Next Fest. It gives you a feel of what kind of game it is.
