Was Valorant Less Toxic Without Reyna? Her Return Has Fans Divided
Valorant’s Reyna is back after a major overheal bug led to her removal. While fans celebrate, others argue her return revives insta-lock toxicity. Should Reyna get a rework?

Imagine pressing Reyna’s ‘Q’ for overheal, feeling confident and unstoppable- only to get one shot by a marshal. What happened to the remaining HP? If you encountered that scenario then you’re not alone. Valorant 10.5 brought forward a massive bug in Reyna’s kit, which led to her complete exit from the game till now.
However, although the empress is back, not everyone is thrilled. Casual and ex-esports players have their own opinions towards the agent. So, let’s get into it.
Why Reyna Was Removed From Valorant
I played reyna these days a lot and find out critical bug if i dont miss it.

Overhealed(150hp), but just died with 101 dmg.
Please fix this fast as you can (@riotgames @VALORANT @T1 ). I want to play reyna in official... pic.twitter.com/DjPtzsQzOy
Reyna’s kit is not meant for team play, she’s selfish and takes everything for herself- her kit is perhaps the most easy yet also one of the hardest to use effectively. So, for an agent who relies on its healing and dismiss ability- to not be able to heal herself, essentially makes her kit useless.
On 21st March, Masters Bangkok winner ‘T1 Meteor’ shared a post highlighting Reyna's bug and her inability to overheal, causing many others to share similar issues. Riot quickly swapped her out of all game modes with even her player card in career history replaced by her earlier concept art. Reyna just seemed like a ghost and for days, Valorant made no mention of her return until 25th March 2025.
Why Fans Don’t Want Reyna In Valorant
lowkey reyna being disabled was a more enjoyable time playing ranked, now we all suffer from reyna insta-locks bottom fragging again 😭

Thrilled, Reyna fans turned towards twitter to spam their excitement- only to get buried by another sentiment. Fans don't want Reyna back at all. The reason? The game became less toxic- this stereotype about agent mains began years ago, where creators or fans depict a person based on the agent he/she mains.
Unfortunately for Reyna mains, they don’t have the best stereotype in question, tagged for bottom fragging every game to being one of the most toxic players- Reyna mains could star for a disney villain. Fans have had a lot to say about her, so let’s dive in
Community Reactions
Many players expressed their annoyance towards Reyna’s addition in the game. However, the question on why this stereotype holds true arises. Reyna’s kit can allow a player to dominate a team completely due it being based around her aim. Although, there’s nothing wrong with a kit centered around aim, it gets misused by smurfs in lower lobbies or insta-locked by players who are extra confident yet unable to deliver.
Meta comes into play and as agents like Waylay shift towards the spotlight, Reyna’s kit becomes more outdated. Her role as a secondary duelist means she is unable to enter the site on her own and needs her team to set her up. Which is a difficult task in a game centered around random teammates. What do you think? Should Reyna get a rework? Or do all games have agents with this issue?
