Call of Duty is the best-seller on PlayStation, says misprint on Modern Warfare 2 Xbox copies in Canada
Apart from the misprint, there's also been a technical error as Modern Warfare 2 ping system gave rise to a 'wall hack' bug, forcing developers to disable ping system for now.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 currently has its ping system disabled. Apparently, the ping system had a huge bug that was allowing players to exploit as a ‘wallhack’. Infinity Ward quietly disabled the ping feature in multiplayer modes after this exploit came into notice. Speaking of errors, there’s a set of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 physical copies for Xbox making the rounds in Canada which says Call of Duty is the best selling franchise on PlayStation. Awkward moment indeed.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the best seller on Steam
Today’s round-up of Call of Duty news isn’t just limited to errors though. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has enjoyed tremendous success on Steam ever since its launch and is top of the charts at the moment. Modern Warfare 2 has also broken records within the franchise as it recorded the highest concurrent player peak of 263,174 players. That’s a substantial number compared to the previous holder, Black Ops 3, which sits at 63,681.
Modern Warfare 2 wall hack bug
Back to the wall hack bug, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II ping system was disabled after players found out a way to ping enemy players for the entire game. This allowed players easy kills as they could see the pinged enemy through walls, which is similar to how ‘wall hacks’ work in PC games.
It was pointed out on Reddit by user u/zFStatic who said, “Huge Bug: You can Ping an enemy during the death screen and the Ping lasts for the whole game, essentially giving you wallhacks on that one player for the remainder of the game”.
Quite naturally, the community flocked to the subreddit and shared their experiences of being on the receiving end of this bug.
Infinity Ward, the developer of Call of Duty MW2, has yet to communicate about this situation officially. There’s no word yet about when the ping system will be back in the game. At the time of writing, the ping system is only working in private matches.

Activision Blizzard’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has been shipped with a packaging error in Canada. The Xbox copies of MW2 have both English and French language on the packaging for customers.
Also, some players who purchased the Xbox physical edition of #MWII in Canada have noticed an error on the box.

While the game info proclaims how Call of Duty is the best seller of Xbox in English, the French translation for the same somehow states that Call of Duty is the best seller on PlayStation. This mistake is bound to be fixed soon but the copies that have already been shipped and sold cannot be changed, and given the context of Xbox and PlayStation’s public disagreements over Call of Duty, these physical copies can prove to be a fun collector’s item.
