Cyberpunk 2077: Modders are improving the game with third-person mod, better romance options

We have already reported about a mod that adds the ability to switch hairstyles in the game. Since then, the Cyberpunk 2077 modifying (mod) community has grown to introduce multiple interesting changes.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been the talk of the town ever since its launch almost a month back in December 2020. Looking back, we have seen the AAA video game be the center of launch delays, performance issues, de-listing, and more. In fact, we also saw a class-action lawsuit against its developer and publisher, CD Projekt Red. Since the first round of complaints about the bugs of the game at launch, CD Projekt Red rolled out multiple fixes. In fact, the company has also promised two major patches at the end of January and February. These patches will address the performance on the Xbox One X, and PlayStation 4.

However, the recent updates and upcoming patches do not address the plethora of problems and features absent in the game. Looking at the situation, some players are not waiting for CD Projekt Red to roll out the patches, and changes. Instead, they are taking the matter into their hands to create mods to fix and address these issues. We have already reported about a mod that adds the ability to switch hairstyles in the game. Since then, the Cyberpunk 2077 modifying (mod) community has grown to introduce multiple interesting changes. Here is how Cyberpunk 2077 modders are improving the game with interesting additions, and much-needed fixes.

Cyberpunk 2077 modding community continues to improve the game, details

The modding community for Cyberpunk 2077 has taken the initiative to make the experience on Cyberpunk 2077 much better than what CD Projekt Red released at launch. Talking about the recent hairstyle mod, we recently got Arasaka Appearance Updater in the game. This allows players to adjust their facial and hairstyle inside the game. This is especially helpful considering the game does not come with barber shops. We also got a “Better Minimap” mod that adds new zoom options so that the mini-map appears properly when “V” gets out of the car.

As mentioned above, we also got a third-person camera mod in Cyberpunk 2077. This new mode allows one to switch between four different camera options. However, this is still a work in progress and may come with a few glitches as most unofficial mods. Other developers have also introduced mods for better vehicle handling, Cyber Engine tweaks, and better shaders for improved HDR experience. One can also find mods like “Ultra enhanced” shaders, improved crowd behavior, draw-distance boost, and more. A recent mod also unlocks the ability to romance Judy, an in-game character with the male “V” character. Out of the box, only players with female “V” character can romance Judy.
