Dota 2 Games of the Future: Teams, Schedule, and More Details

Another $1 million dollar tournament appears.

Exciting time ahead for DOTA fans as another massive LAN tournament: Games of the Future is on the horizon. The tournament will host teams from all over the world with a prize pool of $1 million.

Teams Participating 

The event will include 16 teams competing.  Fourteen of them are direct invites meanwhile two teams qualified through the Phygital Games series. Here are the confirmed lineup so far:

Six more team invites have yet to be announced.

Dates and venue

Games of the Future is set to take place from February 19 to 25. This LAN event will be located in Kazan Expo, Kazan, Russia. This will be the third mega DOTA event in February sandwiching between BetBoom Dacha Dubai and DreamLeague Season 22.

Prize Pool

The LAN boasts a massive prize pool of $1 million distributed among 16 teams. The champion will bag a whopping $350,000, followed by $160,000 for the second place, and $120,000 for the third place.

What is Games of the Future

Games of the Future, organized by a Russian entity sharing the same name, is a tournament centred around Dota 2. This event is a pivotal component of an expansive campaign featuring 21 diverse disciplines and over 260 teams converging in Kazan, Russia. The overarching objective of this initiative is to seamlessly merge physical and digital games, coining the term "Phygital."

Described on its website as "the first-ever sports show in the phygital concept," Games of the Future stands out by blending competitions across both physical and digital dimensions.
