Long time no see, Travelers! (Just kidding, but hey again!) We’re back with some more possible Genshin news for you guys. The previous major update introduced the highly anticipated Fontaine region, introducing an amazing collection of new characters to the game's official storyline. Fontaine has always had an amazing storyline and the newly added characters are basically a cherry on top of the already beautiful game.

This included characters like Fontaine's Hydro Archon, Furina (who fyi, is also known as the God of Justice), another Hydro user named Neuvillette, a new Geo character named Navia, and many more. In Genshin Impact, new parts of a major region are typically unveiled throughout the game's story arc, leading up to the release of a new nation. Currently, five out of the seven main regions are explorable, with Natlan and Snezhnaya being the only missing nations as of now.

A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has shown up a new portion of the map that will be introduced in the upcoming version 4.1. The Fontaine region, which was added in the previous update, has quickly become a fan-favorite due to its distinctive design, setting it apart from the previously released nations. Fontaine's aesthetic is a fusion of 1910s France and a futuristic theme, making it visually striking. The region is also known as "The Nation of Justice" and is renowned for its embrace of advanced technology, which allowed HoYoverse to introduce unique enemies belonging to the Automaton family. According to the leak, the expansion will be located north of the currently accessible terrain, surprising some fans with its placement.

Many players were anticipating the expansion of the region to the east, given the sizable gap of uncharted terrain between Liyue and Fontaine. Speculations about this gap ranged from it being a large sea to potentially holding significant importance in the game, especially considering that the floating island Celestia is located above this area.

Regarding new playable characters, Genshin Impact has officially introduced two new characters, Neuvillette and Wriothesley. Both of them are catalyst users and play key roles in Fontaine's main storyline. According to recent leaks, Neuvillette is expected to be featured in the first banner cycle alongside Hu Tao, which is slated for release at the end of September.

Wriothesley has generated a lot of excitement as he's confirmed to be the game's first Cryo catalyst user, allowing him to apply elemental damage with his Normal Attacks. This makes him potentially valuable in team compositions centered around Freeze or Melt reactions.
