How to link your Wizarding World Account to Hogwarts Legacy
There’s a catch however when it comes to linking your Wizarding World account. You need to have an account created on the Warner Bros. Games website as well, in addition to that on Wizarding World. The Warner Bros. Games website leads you to a number of other games from the production giant including Multiversus, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Back 4 Blood, and of course Hogwarts Legacy.
The official website of Hogwarts Legacy redirects you to The Harry Potter Fan Club, which is the official website of Wizarding World. Here on, if you have your Wizarding World, formerly known as the Pottermore account in place, you are ready to link your account to your Hogwarts Legacy game.
In order to link your Wizarding World account to the Hogwarts Legacy game, check into the Menu of the game, which includes the Settings. Here you will find “User Interface Options” as the last available category in the Settings menu.
As you can see in the image above, WB Games Account can be found right there on number 2, under User Interface Account. Select the options and you will be taken to the official page for Account Linking.
Scan the QR code on the screen for the automatic update of Unique Authentication code, sign in to your WB Games Account if you aren't already, and you are good to go.
Why should you link your accounts?
Hogwarts Legacy specifies that Account Linking will allow you to bring your “Wizarding World identity including wand and house into Hogwarts Legacy”. You can “customise your game and unlock exclusive rewards” such as the Beaked Skill Mask and House Fan-atic School Robe. Apart from these advantages, Account Linking does not otherwise affect your gameplay in any way, and is an optional feature.
At the same time you must note that in order for your character in the game to reflect your House and wand from Wizarding World, you need to link your accounts before you begin the Sorting Hat ceremony. The Sorting Hat ceremony commences within the first 40 minutes of the gameplay. So if in case you intend to link your accounts, it is best you do so before you start the game altogether.
However, you can still link your accounts even after a significant progression in the game. In that case, you will only be able to redeem the exclusive rewards- your house and wand will not reflect any changes. And how can you? Once you’ve walked into your Common Room, you cannot possibly get into another one unless you have a Polyjuice Potion at your disposal, and the password!
