India Today Gaming presents a close look at the various systems featuring the i9-13900K Core from Intel's latest 13th Gen Raptor Lake Processor series in action. Here are our key takeaways from the pre-launch event of the Raptor Lake processors.

We witnessed the worldwide launch of Intel 13th Gen desktop processors earlier this year at the Intel Innovation event held on September 2022. On a more recent tryst, closer home, Intel introduced their latest to the Indian market, ahead of its October 21 market launch. Our team at India Today Gaming had the privilege of attending the event. We were walked through the power that the 13th Gen desktop processors, primarily the 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900 brings to the industry. Along with it, we saw a number of beasts featuring the 13th Gen Intel core in action. We now present to you some of our key takeaways from the event. 

Intel 13th Gen Raptor Lake Desktop Processors-Pre-launch event

The event kicked off with Managing Director Santosh Viswanathan’s foreword. It was exciting for us as representatives of India Today Gaming, to hear him talk about how Intel’s been focusing on the gaming industry. To quote Viswanathan, “In the last decade, the overall gaming trend in India has grown tremendously, and this presents us with a great opportunity to demonstrate what's possible with the PC experience going forward.” The same was reiterated by Gokul Subramaniam, Head of the Client Computing Group at Intel.

Intel has revealed their partnership with multiple Equipment and Design Manufacturers from across the ecosystem. Names include Microsoft, Lenovo, Alienware, HP, Acer, MSI, Dell, Gigabyte, Origin, Asus, and more. Here’s a walkthrough of the systems from these manufacturers in display. 

Games Optimized for the 13th Gen

Total Warhammer III continues their association with Intel for 13th Gen after their 12th Gen CPUs. So is the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. They provided a comparison of the Intel Core i9-13900K with Intel Core i9-12900K on various games that they tried out.

Intel claims that with the current figures of turbo boosts going up to 5.8GHz, they’ve witnessed up to 24% better gaming performance and 34% faster creator workflow. 

We also tried our hands at some of the latest games like Hitman III and Grid Legends on these systems. 

Intel 13th Gen core desktop K processors will be available in India starting today, October 21st, 2022. Moving on, Intel has also launched the 700 Series chipset. They’ve also teased the upcoming generations after Raptor Lake- Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake.
