KFC announces KFConsole, a bucket-like gaming PC that keeps your chicken warm

Even though compact gaming PCs are not a new thing, the design of the product is quite different. Let’s check everything we know around the KFConsole from KFC including its specifications.

American fast-food restaurant chain KFC has just teamed up with popular PC peripheral maker Cooler Master to launch KFConsole. KFConsole is a bucket-shaped gaming PC that also keeps your chicken warm. The product is a real thing after KFC initially launched a marketing campaign on Twitter teasing its console. Unsurprisingly, the KFConsole is not really a traditional console like the Xbox or the PlayStation. Instead, as mentioned above, it is a compact gaming PC. Even though compact gaming PCs are not a new thing, the design of the KFConsole is quite different. Let’s check everything we know around the KFConsole from KFC including its specifications.

KFC KFConsole announced, details

As mentioned above, the KFConsole seems to boast an original design unlike anything currently available. Cooler Master confirmed that it built the product “from the ground up” on the official website of KFConsole. The landing page of the product also boasts that it can play games in 4K resolution at 240FPS. Though we are not sure how this claim will stand in more demanding games. Taking a closer look, the product comes with a Black and Red finish. In terms of specifications, the product comes with an Intel Nuc9 Extreme Compute Element to power the device. This Compute element comes with a 9th generation Intel Core i9 CPU in a “custom Cooler Master NC100 chassis”.

Cooler Master has also included an Asus-branded Nvidia GPU with a “first-of-its-kind hot-swappable GPU slot”. This means that buyers can ensure that the KFConsole runs the latest Nvidia GPU. However, the company did share the exact model of the GPU. Beyond this, the product also features two 1TB Seagate BarraCuda PCIe NVMe SSDs. KFC also claims that the KFConsole is VR-Ready along with Ray Tracing support.

Specifications are all good, but the highlight of the product is the Chicken chamber. The landing page of the product highlights how KFConsole will work to keep your Chicken hot. KFC has used a “patented Chicken Chamber” that uses the natural heat and airflow of the system to keep your Chicken “hot” and “crispy”. The internal blueprint of the console indicates that the Console keeps the Chicken Chamber above the internal heat-skin of the device. KFC also shared a one minute and three-second-long teaser video on Twitter to introduce the KFConsole. The company has not shared any pricing or availability details at the time of writing.
