KRAFTON India launches KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI) to fuel gaming innovation

Krafton has announced KIGI, a program aimed at nurturing and expanding India's rapidly growing gaming.

Krafton, the company behind the popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has announced the launch of the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI), a program aimed at nurturing and expanding India's rapidly growing gaming ecosystem. With a call-for-entries opening today, KIGI is poised to be a game-changer for aspiring game developers and startups in the country.

KIGI's mission is to incubate 6-10 teams annually, spanning a program duration ranging from six months to one year. Successful applicants will receive invaluable guidance, mentorship, and access to KRAFTON's extensive resources. The financial support provided by the incubator program will vary based on the specific needs of the incubated ventures, with amounts typically ranging between $50,000 to $150,000.

Speaking about this momentous launch, Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of KRAFTON India, expressed his excitement, stating, "At KRAFTON, we recognize the immense potential that India holds in the global gaming landscape. Participating teams in KIGI will have the privilege of being mentored by industry stalwarts, gaming executives, and experts from South Korea, a global gaming hub, and India. Additionally, they will gain access to Krafton's rich internal resources, including data analytics and market research, among other invaluable assets to help refine and market their products.

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may also have the opportunity to have their products published, secure venture capital funding from external investors, and potentially receive equity investments from Krafton.
