Revenant Esports signs former CS:GO player "Pro" as coach for its valorant lineup

Revenant Esports has strengthened its VALORANT team further with the addition of a new coach from the Philippines, Chris “Pro” Martir.

Revenant Esports has appointed Chris "Pro" Martir, a Filipino veteran as the coach for its Valorant lineup. Pro will be starting his duties with the lineup and helping them to prepare for the Valorant Challengers South Asia Split 2 in New Delhi. Pro himself have been a professional Valorant and CS:GO player in the past. He has played CS:GO for TNC Pro Team and Bren Esports. In 2021, Pro entered into Valorant competitive scene and started playing for South Built Esports in Phillipines. The former veteran will now be using his expertise to guide Revenant Esports' Valorant lineup.

Pro on joining Revenant Esports as head coach said that he looks forward to assist the players who he had already competed with and against in 2021. Here is the full statement:

“Revenant has two Filipino players and there are also some other imports from the country in the South Asian VALORANT scene as well. Having competed with and against these players since 2021, I look forward to assisting the Revenant roster to strengthen their core synergy, identify mistakes, and improve their overall gameplay"

The two Filipino players that Pro mentioned in his statement were also his former teammates during the 2022 VCT APAC Stage 1 Challengers. The complete linupe for Revenant Esports is -

Rohit Jagasia, the founder and CEO of Revenant Esports also commented on Pro's addition as a head coach to the team. He said "“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to compete in Split 1 of the VALORANT Challengers South Asia, so our present team hasn’t competed together on the big stage. Building their synergy as soon as possible has been an area of focus for us and Pro’s addition will help us realize that goal. 

As of now, Revenant Esports has played one match in VALORANT Challengers against MLT Esports, handing them a defeat with the scoreline of 2-1. The team would like to carry its winning momentum against Orangutan Gaming on May 12.
