Sony has announced the list of free games that are set to join PlayStation Plus subscription service this April. This list of games includes Hood: Outlaws and Legends, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom- Rehydrated, and Slay the Spire. In addition, the company also share the information about the game leaving the PS Plus collection. Arrival of the new games also means that PlayStation users have limited time to add March games to their library. Sony PlayStation Plus to get new games in April; details

As noted in the past PlayStation Plus announcements, Sony tends to share on PS5 compatible game and two PS4 titles. This time, Hood is the game that can run both on the PS5 as well as the PS4 lineup. Game developer Sumo Digital and publisher Focus Entertainment released Hood, a PvPvE multiplayer game last year in the market. The game is set in a medieval world where players can team up together to make teams of four. The teams then compete against each other while trying to steal from the rich.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated

This platformer from 2020 offers both an online mode and offline mode to its players. Playable characters include Nickelodeon favorites like SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy. As per the story of the game, players need to stop Plankton from taking over Bikini Bottom.

Slay the Spire

Humble Bundle and Mega Crit Games first published the roguelike-deckbuilding game back in 2017. The game is set in a fantasy world and incorporates elements of a card games. Players can take advantage of unique skills they get from creating unique card decks from “hundreds of cards”.

Persona 5 to leave Original PS Plus Collection

It is also worth nothing that Persona 5 is set to leave the PlayStation Plus Collection that Sony launched in 2020. It will be the first game to leave the collection since the company first started such game bundles for new subscribers. The collection first launched with PlayStation 5 that gamers could also play on the PS4 lineup with the help of backward compatibility. Persona 5, one of the 10 third-party games on the Collection first landed in 2016. It also won The Game Award for the Best Role-Playing Game in 2017. PS5 owners have till May 11 to add the game to their game library.

Finally, the list of free games set to leave the PS Plus subscription include Ark: Survival Evolved. It also includes Team Sonic Racing, Ghostrunner and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends.
