Street Fighter 6 closed beta began on October 7 and ended today, giving some players a taste of what’s in store for them when the game fully launches. There were several game modes, maps and characters available to test out during this closed beta. Players also got a chance to try the new avatar creator and there were some interesting results indeed, as shared by players on social media. Street Fighter 6 close beta also had options for commentary settings, different control types, online match fight requests, battle settings and a photo mode. Capcom also announced that players selected for the closed beta will be receiving “a special in-game title as a gift” when the game fully launches in 2023.

Players had their fun with the Character Creator, creating random, weird characters to take into battle. These characters can only be made once in the beta and could not be saved for future. There was also no provision to load avatars created by other people during this closed beta.

A leaker shared that they got access to the game’s dialogue through the game files of the beta. These dialogues conveyed a lot of information about new characters, such as their background story, possible moves, powers and archetype.
