1. Uncharted 5 has probably been teased by Sony's new PS5 ad

The new promo showcased several released and upcoming PlayStation games such as God of War, Horizon and Spider-Man. While all the games were recognisable, one live-action clip was not a direct reference to any released game. This unrecognisable clip about an upcoming PS5 game is perhaps Uncharted 5, as per PlayStation fans.

2. Xbox Series X and Series S are getting a price increase in Japan

Microsoft has announced that they're planning to increase the price of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in Japan. Xbox Series X prices will rise from ¥54,978 to ¥59,978 ($421 to $460). As for the Xbox Series S, its price rises from ¥32,278 to ¥37,978 ($247 to $291).

Announcing this price increase, Microsoft said (via Gematsu), "After carefully evaluating the market condition of Japan, we have decided to change the suggested retail price of Xbox consoles in the country.


3. Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 DMZ has a hidden pay-to-win strategy

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 players have re-discovered the importance of the ghillie suit in the DMZ mode. TikToker ON1C claims to have successfully ambushed a team and taken them down in DMZ mode. He credits the ghillie suit which helped him get unnoticed as he lurked behind the team. 

ON1C went on to call the ghillie suit “overpowered” which sparked a debate online. Netizens now claim that this is a “pay-to-win” strategy that was hidden in Warzone 2.0’s DMZ mode. 


4. Forza Motorsport has been delayed and will not release before Q3, claims new report

Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb, known for providing accurate information on Xbox, said the game has been delayed and will now be released in the second half of the year. 

Forza Motorsport release window was announced for the spring of 2023 back in June by Xbox. Most recently, Xbox and Bethesda Developer_Direct showcase this month revealed that the game would still be released in 2023. 

5. MLB The Show 23 cover star and release date confirmed

Sony and MLB have announced that MLB The Show 23 is launching on March 28. It will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. They've also revealed the Miami Marlins player Jazz Chisholm as the cover star of MLB The Show 23.

6. Forza Motorsport will be playable on Xbox One but through cloud gaming only

Forza Motorsport support page got recently updated and it confirms that the game will also be playable on Xbox One but as a cloud version.

“While there will not be a native Xbox One version of the game, Xbox One players can stream Forza Motorsport through Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate,” reads the support page.

7. Ubisoft is set to reveal The Crew 3 on Tuesday

The Crew's Twitter account tweeted "Tomorrow. 5PM UTC/9AM PST" multiple times on Monday. This has led many to believe that the announcement for The Crew 3 is awaiting. The confirmation of this supposed announcement comes after a series of leaks containing details about the game. 

 

 

 

 

8. Nintendo and PlayStation will not attend E3 2023, as per claims

 

Nintendo and PlayStation will not be present at this year’s E3 show, according to IGN and VGC. Sony had earlier decided to skip the last E3 show as well when it took place in 2019. Nintendo's decision, as per sources, comes as the company feels it has only a few major releases to showcase at the event which wouldn't justify taking up an event space at E3. 

 

9. The Last of Us Episode 3 confirms Bill and Frank were a gay couple in the game

The Last of Us Episode 3 dropped yesterday and it was focused entirely on Bill (played by Nick Offerman) and Frank (played by Murray Bartlett). Neil Druckmann, the director and writer for the original video game, took this second chance at telling the story of this duo. The episode confirmed the long-running theory fans had about Bill and Frank’s relationship. The duo were indeed a gay couple in the game. 

 

10. February’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles have been announced

Xbox has revealed Xbox Live Games with Gold titles for February 2023. Xbox Live subscribers will get to download For the King for free from February 1-28. Guts ‘N Goals will also be available for free but starting from February 16 to March 15.
