Call of the Night Season 2 premieres July 4 with new characters and deeper story arcs.
The much-awaited second season of Call of the Night will be released on July 4 at 23:30 JST. Studio LIDEN FILMS is again in charge, with director Tomoyuki Itamura returning. The production team is mostly the same as the first season. Michiko Yokote returns as scriptwriter, Haruka Sagawa is in charge of character design, and Yoshiaki Dewa returns to create the soundtrack. Assistant directors Izumi Takizawa and Nao Miyoshi are also included in the new season's production team.
The anime is an adaptation of Kotoyama's manga, also creator of Dagashi Kashi. The manga serialized in Shonen Sunday from August 2019 to January 2024. VIZ Media releases the official English-language version.
Ko, a discontented teenager, starts roving the streets at night. On his nightly excursions, he encounters Nazuna, a vampire who provides him with companionship in an abandoned building. Their connection gets stronger with every encounter since Ko finds himself torn between human feelings and the temptation of the paranormal. A girl from Ko's past comes back, disrupting his connection with Nazuna.
New Character Haru to Unveil Hidden Secrets
Season 2 brings with it a major new character, Haru Nanakusa, who is voiced by Maaya Uchida. Haru is a nurse who has an intimate connection with Nazuna's past. Her arrival is bound to reveal more about Nazuna's mysterious history and have an impact on Ko's journey in important ways.

The new key visual, recently released, is a tease for the "Cigarette Case Arc," which will explore emotional revelations and character development. Season 2 is poised to develop the world of Call of the Night further and explore its complex characters and themes in greater depth with a return cast and fresh developments.
