Chainsaw Man Reze Arc Movie: New Trailer, Theme Song by Kenshi Yonezu & Everything You Need to Know

Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc movie drops trailer with Kenshi Yonezu's theme, premieres this September.
Chainsaw Man is coming back again, this time as a movie. Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc now has a new trailer, showing off the theme song “IRIS OUT” by singer Kenshi Yonezu. The movie is going to be out in Japan on September 19, then international dates start on September 24. U.S. fans can see it in theaters starting October 29, 2025.
MAPPA is once again doing the animation. But now Tatsuya Yoshihara is directing the film, instead of season 1 director Ryu Nakayama. That was announced during MAPPA's Anime Expo 2025 panel. With the trailer came a new poster image as well, featuring what appears to be an epic battle between Denji and Reze, aka Bomb Girl.
Some of the first season cast return as well. Masato Nakazono is the assistant director these days, Hiroshi Seko is writing the script, Kazutaka Sugiyama is working on the characters, and Kensuke Ushio is composing the music once more. The trailer will be up shortly.
Voice Cast Return for New Story
All the main voices are returning. Kikunosuke Toya will be playing Denji, and Reina Ueda will voice Reze. Pochita will be played by Shiori Izawa, while Tomori Kusunoki will be voicing Makima. Aki and Power will be reprising their roles with Shogo Sakata and Fairouz Ai. The visuals of the characters of most of the already debuted in March during Anime Japan.
New Chapters Continue to Shape the Plot
Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga remains strong. Part two began in July 2023 and is readable for free on the MangaPLUS app. VIZ Media is publishing the English editions for book collectors.
The tale continues with Denji, a penniless kid who's killing devils to settle debts. Having been deceived into doing so, he merges with his devil companion Pochita, and becomes Chainsaw Man. In the Reze Arc, Denji encounters Reze on a rainy evening after having a date with Makima. But she is no ordinary girl, and everything goes sideways quickly.

This film offers more intense action, emotional plot turns, and the same flair that the fans adore. With the same voice cast, some old material, and new animation, it's on track to be a huge part of the Chainsaw Man series.
