Crunchyroll Announces Re:ZERO Season 4 with New Trailer at Anime Expo 2025

At Anime Expo 2025, Crunchyroll announced that Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 gonna stream in 2026. This was revealed at the industry panel, and they also presented a teaser trailer with a new key visual. It wasn't a lot of information other than what we already know, but it was enough for fans to get hyped again for Subaru's return.

This is among the first announcements that Crunchyroll made during the event. Although no official date was announced, the 2026 project was talked of again. Fans are now merely waiting to know what's next for Subaru's long fight in the other world, with lots of danger and melancholy content.

Subaru is Still Trapped in That World, Gonna Battle Some More

This is the story of Subaru, an ordinary boy who just got dragged into a fantasy world on the way home from the store. He doesn't even realize what's going on, and then gets to know a girl with silver hair. She saved him first, and he then saved her in return. But this does not happen smoothly, as he has to endure numerous bad moments.

The series is famous for that "Return by Death" bit, where Subaru returns to the past each time he dies. But even with those second chances, the pain and the fear are still painful. Season 4 seems to continue with that same sense of stress and tough decisions.

Same Crew is Back to create the New Season

The following season is once more being produced at Studio White Fox, as usual. Masahiro Shinohara returns as director, and Masahiro Yokotani once more handles the story portion. Haruka Sagawa will be handling the characters again, and Kenichiro Suehiro will be composing the music, the id music on Fire Force and Golden Kamuy as well.

This anime is based on light novels by Tappei Nagatsuki, illustrated by Shin'ichiro Otsuka. Crunchyroll also still has all the previous seasons and OVAs available on their website, as well.

So now that Season 4 is on the way, Subaru's great struggle is not yet over. More agony, more hardship, and perhaps more development are on the horizon when he confronts what comes next. Fans just have to wait for more announcements.
