Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS Manga Prequel Releases August 2025 in Japan, International Release 2026

The universe of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners continues to flourish with the impending publication of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS Prequel Volume 1. This officially licensed comic serves as a prequel to the anime, focusing on the backstories of characters before they met David Martinez and the crew. Readers will be able to find the backstory on siblings Rebecca and Pilar, as well as their formative years in Night City.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS Release Date and Global Availability

The Japanese edition of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS Prequel Volume 1 will release on August 28, 2025. The Japanese edition is published by KADOKAWA Corporation and costs 720 JPY. Meanwhile, the English edition, from Dark Horse Comics LLC, is coming out on February 24, 2026. Language editions will follow, including Korean in September 2025 and Polish from StudioJG in October 2025.

Several other European languages are also expected to release in late 2025; this really confirms there will be worldwide availability of the prequel comic, which is great for fans worldwide to enjoy further in the Edgerunners story.
