Something big is coming for Demon Slayer fans, get ready for an exclusive surprise in theaters this May.

A new chapter is starting for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans, with excitement growing for the upcoming Infinity Castle movie trilogy. The first teaser trailer will be shown only in Japanese theaters starting May 9, 2025.

Fans can see the teaser during the special re-release of the 2020 hit movie Mugen Train, now updated in 4K with powerful sound formats like Dolby Atmos and IMAX. This re-release will run in theaters for five weeks.

The trailer launch is seen as a smart move by animation studio Ufotable and distributors Aniplex and Toho. It builds hype and encourages fans to return to theaters.

Demon Slayer: The Final Chapter Begins

The film ‘The Infinity Castle’ is the first of three final Demon Slayer movies that tell the last part of the manga. It takes place after the Hashira Training Arc, with Tanjiro Kamado and the strongest Demon Slayer Corps members going to the demon hideout, the Infinity Castle, which is controlled by Muzan Kibutsuji.

Haruo Sotozaki returns to direct, Akira Matsushima is back as the character designer, while Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina take care of the music composition. The same three people are still leading the production. They have kept a strong standard that helps the series stay well-known and popular around the world.

Japanese fans will be the first to see the teaser trailer in theaters, but fans in other countries will have to wait. This has started online debates, with some fans from other countries saying the Japan-only release is unfair or even “greedy.” Many are also worried about access, especially since the number of Demon Slayer fans around the world keeps growing.

Global Release Timeline Confirmed

Infinity Castle, Chapter One will premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025. It will come to North America on September 12, 2025. The movie will be shown in high-quality formats and will be available in both Japanese and English audio.

The story continues right after season four of the anime. After their tough training, the Demon Slayer Corps is suddenly attacked by Muzan Kibutsuji. This leads to a major battle inside the moving and mysterious Infinity Castle. Fans can expect lots of action, deep emotions, and great animation.

Tanjiro’s Biggest Moment Is Coming

Tanjiro’s journey began when his sister Nezuko became a demon, and now it’s at its most intense. Along with his friends Zenitsu and Inosuke, and with help from the Hashira, Tanjiro is about to face his toughest fight.
