Fantasy Manga 29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou to Receive TV Anime Adaptation

A 29-sai Dokushin Chuuken Boukensha no Nichijou fantasy manga by Ippei Nara has a new anime adaptation coming out, and it has been announced. The series, titled Daily Life of a 29-Year-Old Single Mid-Level Adventurer, is in production for television. Although the official broadcast date is not confirmed, the main production information and voice cast have already been released

Production and Direction Team Unveiled

Toshinori Fukushima, who directed TAMAYOMI: The Baseball Girls, will be directing and composing the series for the anime. He was excited about the project, calling the series a soft mix of humor and tears. Fukushima also called attention to the charm and uniqueness of the characters.

Character design falls on Yoshihiro Nagamori, who has worked on BEYBLADE X previously. Nagamori discussed the creative challenge of being faithful to the changing manga while creating expressive and dynamic designs. HORNETS studio, known for its recent production of 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!, will be handling animation.

Lead Voice Actors Announced

The two leading anime characters have also nailed down well-known voice actors. Makoto Furukawa, who is known for Saitama in One-Punch Man and Benimaru in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, will be the voice of the male main character, Shinonome Hajime. The story was a depiction of daily ebbs and flows, full of human warmth and nuanced emotions, Furukawa said.

Sayumi Suzushiro, whose credits include The Magnificent KOTOBUKI and We Never Learn: BOKUBEN, will play Lirui, the female protagonist. She commented on the manga's peaceful environment and community feeling that welcomed her to the story. Suzushiro urged viewers to savor the changing relationship between Lirui and the sincere Hajime. 

Story and Manga Background

It chronicles the adventures of Shinonome Hajime, a previously slum-dwelling boy who is now an adventurer leading a peaceful life in the small Komai village. On his usual quest, he stumbles upon a child, Lirui, facing danger within a dungeon. She had gone alone, without support or family. Touched by her plight, Hajime brings her to his village. This first meeting is the beginning of an offbeat, emotional adventure with daily life containing laughter, drama, and human development.

Ever since its serialization in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in January 2016, the series has hit 18 collected volumes, with its 19th installment scheduled for release on May 9. The series just keeps gaining momentum with its perfect combination of comedy, emotion, and slice-of-life fantasy.
