Grand Blue Season 2 Fully Leaked Online Before Second Episode Could Release Officially

  • India Today Gaming
  • July 09, 2025 (UPDATED: July 09, 2025 15:20 IST)

All episodes of Grand Blue Season 2 leaked on torrent sites, spotlighting increasing threats of anime piracy and the industry's struggle to prevent it

Grand Blue Season 2 just got released officially some days ago, but weirdly, now already all 12 episodes can be found on piracy websites. It is quite shocking because only the first episode was meant to be out properly. But then, suddenly, all the other episodes showed up, fully finished with sound and animation. No one really knows where they came from.

Some files that are being shared showing a link that leads to a Japanese streaming site called happydouga.jp. But it is not confirmed if that website really had anything to do with it or maybe somebody just added that name to mislead others. So maybe it fake, who knows.

Not the First Time for Anime Leaks

Actually, this sort of situation already happened before too. In August last year, few anime titles on Netflix got leaked before release. This included DAN DA DAN, MAPPA’s Ranma ½ remake, and also the Mononoke: Karakasa movie. At that time, Netflix said it was from one of their partners, and they were working fast to take down everything from online.

Also back in 2024, even Crunchyroll had leaks. KonoSuba Season 3 and Sound! Euphonium Season 3 were leaked online just after being shown at Puerto Rico Comic Con. Now with Grand Blue added to the list, it’s clear this type of thing is happening more and more often, which is not so good for the anime world.

Steps Being Taken to Fight Piracy

Right now, in the U.S., they are talking about new laws like Foreign Anti-Digital Piracy Act. This law is to help anime companies stop piracy websites from other countries more quickly. Japan also doing their own actions. Like Kodansha, the publisher that works on Grand Blue, they sued Cloudflare in 2022 because it was making it easier for people to do piracy.

Many big studios like Aniplex and Toho already started using methods like invisible watermarks or even fake credits, just to track who is leaking stuff. They even go to court and ask social media platforms like X to give out names of people involved in the leaks.

Fans of Grand Blue are being asked to please support the anime by watching it on legal platforms like Crunchyroll. These leaks not only hurt the people who made the show, but if it continues, it might affect which anime get made in future.
