Discover anime like Spy x Family that blend comedy, emotion, and action perfect for fans who love stories about found families and hidden lives
Spy x Family was nice, it truly was. It had this cool way of mixing laughs with spy stuff, and it still made you feel warm, like a family trying to stay together. So if that one touched your heart in bits, or made you laugh out loud sometimes, maybe these other shows will give you a little of that too. They’re not the same; they have some parts that feel the same.
The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting
In The Yakuza’s Guide to Babysitting, a scary gangster man named Kirishima, who people call “Demon of Sakuragi,” suddenly has to babysit his boss’s daughter. At first, he doesn’t care much, but slowly, a gentle bond starts to grow between them. There are fights, but also feelings like Loid didn’t plan to love Anya, and this man didn’t think he would care either.
Kakushigoto
Kakushigoto is about a father who draws manga he doesn’t want his daughter to know about. He tells her he works in a regular office. So, every day, he’s trying to hide that truth. It’s funny, but also kind of sweet. You can see how much he loves her, even if he is lying. Kind of like Loid, who pretends so much but truly wants to protect.

Hinamatsuri
Now, Hinamatsuri is strange right from the start. Something falls from the sky, and a girl with powers comes out. She starts living with a yakuza man, who is annoyed at first. But slowly, they get used to each other. And even like each other. It’s odd, silly, but also has heart in unexpected places.
Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED
Millionaire Detective – Balance: UNLIMITED is more crime and less family, but still, it fits somehow. One guy solves crimes with money. The other, Haru, thinks that’s wrong. They argue a lot, but learn how to work together. It’s not a love story or family thing, but it still shows how two different people grow a bond. Reminds me of how Loid and Yor try to figure things out.
Bunny Drop
Lastly, Bunny Drop is very soft and slow. A quiet man finds out his grandpa had a little girl. The rest of the family doesn’t want to take care of her. So he says Okay, I’ll raise her. It’s not exciting, but it’s touching. He struggles, but he tries. The love comes slowly, but deep. Just like Loid learning to be a dad.
So, these shows aren’t the same. But they carry little bits of what made Spy x Family special. Secrets, surprises, care, and people becoming something more than what they planned. If you liked that show, maybe you’ll find something warm in these, too.
