JUJUTSU KAISEN: Culling Game Anime Officially in Production, Voice Recording Begins

On the Anime Expo 2025 panel, they went ahead and said outright that JUJUTSU KAISEN – Culling Game is now in production. Microphones are already warm, and actors are yelling and grunting within the studio. Junya Enoki (Yuji) and Megumi Ogata (Yuta) were on stage, displaying some flash clips of them yelling lines. They referenced back to that "super teaser" image that Jump Festa released in December, so people know the project has been bubbling for a while.

Enoki teased that Ogata continues to stab him with katana sounds every episode. He swore the quality appears "really high," so viewers had better prepare. They also let slip that Yuji and Choso both gonna butt heads with Yuta in this installment. 

Same Voices, Same Studio, More Trouble

 

 

Season 2 already went through Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and then Shibuya Incident — five episodes for the first half, eighteen for the second. Those five even screened in Japanese cinemas last May, and that film cut arrives in North America on 16 July.

Shota Goshozono remains at the helm as director, Hiroshi Seko keeps scripts in order, and MAPPA swings pencils at animation once again. Music still provided by Yoshimasa Terui, laying down that tense atmosphere under every cursed battle.

Page Has Turned, Yet the Anime Is Far From Over

 

 

Gege Akutami concluded the manga again on 30 September 2024 after six and a half years in print. Volumes 29 and 30 both appeared on Christmas Day and even contained a little epilogue. Nevertheless, anime continues pushing forward: Crunchyroll streams the whole lot, both seasons and the film.

The history behind it? Yuji Itadori masticates one disgusting cursed finger so he doesn't die instantly, then has to swallow the rest nineteen to imprison Sukuna forever. The issue is, each new finger equates to tougher battles and larger decisions.

Now that Culling Game is humming into action, fans can place their bets on more boisterous spells, messy emotions, and sorcerers swinging for keeps.
