Jujutsu Kaisen Sends Legal Warning After New Movie Ending Got Leaked

The latest Jujutsu Kaisen film, Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie, which premiered in Japan on May 30, has recently become the center of controversy following the unauthorized leak of its new ending scenes. This movie is a compilation of key events from the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death arc featured in Season 2 of the anime. While compilation films often include bonus content to excite dedicated fans, the premature exposure of these exclusive scenes has caused significant concern.

Shortly after the movie’s theatrical release, footage of the new ending, recorded illegally inside cinemas, surfaced online. In response, the official Jujutsu Kaisen anime account took to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a legal warning. The statement reminded fans that filming in theaters and sharing copyrighted material is illegal and requested viewers to refrain from such actions. Although no direct legal action was publicly confirmed, industry patterns suggest that those responsible for the leaks may face consequences, similar to recent incidents involving other major anime titles like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Meanwhile, anticipation continues to build for the future of the franchise. A new installment adapting the Culling Game Arc (chapters 159–221) has been announced, but whether it will be a new season, movie, or another format remains unconfirmed.
