My Hero Academia Vigilantes Reveals Season 2 Premiere Window for 2026

After Episode 13 of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes came out, the team made a big announcement. They said that Season 2 is happening and is going to be released in 2026. A teaser video came out along with a new visual, which gives a slightly different feeling than before. Crunchyroll also announced that they will stream the second season. It will be available in several places, including Europe, North America, the Middle East, and some more.

The anime is a spin-off from the My Hero Academia main series, but it goes in a different direction. It tells the story of Koichi Haimawari, who is a quiet college student who once had a dream to become a hero. He pretty much gives up on it until he meets a tough guy called Knuckleduster. Things change after that, and Koichi ends up becoming part of an underground hero group that doesn’t have licenses but still fights for justice.

From Manga Pages to Anime Screens

The manga version of Vigilantes was made by Hideyuki Furuhashi, with art done by Betten Court. It started publishing in Jump GIGA in 2016 and later switched over to Shonen Jump+, where it wrapped up in 2022. In total, it had 15 volumes. The English edition is published by VIZ Media, which still continues to put it out.

The anime adaptation is being made by Studio Bones Film, who also handle the main My Hero Academia series. Directing the new season is Kenichi Suzuki, who had worked on JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure before. Yosuke Kuroda is returning to write, and he’s already known for his work on the main anime, too. Character designs are by Takahiko Yoshida. And music is from Yuki Hayashi, Shogo Yamashira, and Yuki Furuhashi.

Where to Watch My Hero Academia Vigilantes Season 2

Crunchyroll already streams the main show and all the movies like Two Heroes and Heroes Rising, so it’s not very surprise they will stream Vigilantes Season 2 also. They also have plans for showing the final season of the main series in October 2025.

This spin-off story takes place more at the street level. It's not as flashy as the main series, but it has more gritty fights and a darker tone. It explores the kind of world that is happening outside the spotlight of big heroes. With Season 2 announced, we might be able to see how far Koichi can go now.

Still, not everything has been revealed yet. We don’t know the full cast, no confirmed air date either, and not much was said about the arc they’re doing. But fans were already excited just from the news. Vigilantes may not get as much attention as the main series, but it has its flavor. And Season 2? It looks like it’s ready to dig deeper than before.
