Ranma ½ Season 2 premieres June 22 with a live dubbing event and Netflix streaming.

June 22, the new *Ranma ½* anime official site posted an advance screening for the first episode of season 2 to be shown at Shinjuku Wald 9. The event also includes voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi (male Ranma), Megumi Hayashibara (female Ranma), Noriko Hidaka (Akane), and Rei Sakuma (Shampoo). They will perform a live dubbing session. The website teases "& more...?" voice actors, and the visual for the event features the character Mousse (pictured below on the far left), whose voice actor has not yet been announced. Fans are excited and waiting for more news about the other cast members who will join the event.

New Ranma 1/2 Season 2 Early Screening

The anime first aired across Japan on October 5 at 12:55 a.m. JST on the NTC channel. After airing, it is available to stream only on Netflix. This arrangement allows fans to watch the episodes online shortly after airing on TV, increasing accessibility for international viewers.

Cast and Crew Details for the New Season

Kōichi Yamadera reprises his roles as Ryōga Hibiki and Jusenkyo Guide from the previous anime. Minami Takayama and Kikuko Inoue are coming back to reprise their roles as Nabiki Tendō and Kasumi Tendō, as they did in the earliest anime. Akio Ōtsuka is now playing Sōun Tendō, replacing Ryunosuke Ohbayashi. Chō plays Genma Saotome, replacing Kenichi Ogata, who is now the narrator instead of the late Tadashi Nakamura.

New cast members (not reprising roles from previous anime projects) include Tomokazu Sugita as Tatewaki Kunō, Ayane Sakura as Kodachi Kunō, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Tōfū Ono, Mamoru Miyano as Mikado Sanzenin, Aoi Yūki as Azusa Shiratori, and Tomokazu Seki as Ichiro.

Kōnosuke Uda (known for One Piece: Dead End film and DAYS) directed the new series at MAPPA. Kimiko Ueno (known for Delicious in Dungeon, Astro Note) is in charge of series scripts, and Hiromi Taniguchi (known for Kurage no Shokudō) is designing the characters. The anime’s opening theme song, "Iinazukekkyun," is performed by Ano. Singer-songwriter Riria performs the ending theme song, "Anta Nante."

Additionally, twelve episodes of the new anime were leaked last August, stirring early buzz among fans anticipating the new season.
