Prime Video Heats Up July 9 with New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt is back again. The new anime, which is called New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, finally gets its proper announcement. They dropped a full trailer, plus a new key visual too. It’s wild, colorful, and fitting for the madness this show is known for.

It is going to have its first showing on July 4, 2025, at Anime Expo. That one is for 18+ only, and it will take place at the Peacock Theater, at 8:30 PM. But there’s another version, a censored one, which is also shown at the same event the next day — July 5, at 6:30 PM in Room 408AB.

New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Gets a Prime Video Release Date

The show’s Japanese broadcast begins on July 9, but because of time difference, it’s basically July 10 at 1 AM JST. AT-X will air the “original” version, while the censored one will be on other channels. Online streaming start also from July 9, exclusively first on Prime Video. Other platforms will follow, but Prime Video is the one getting episodes before others.

This anime continues from the original 2010 version by Gainax. Still set in the chaotic place called Daten City — somewhere stuck between heaven and hell. Here, Ghosts are born from bad human feelings like greed and hate. And the only ones who can deal with them are… Panty and Stocking.

These angel sisters don’t behave like holy beings. They fight, they scream, they do weird things. But somehow they’re the ones saving the world. The show asks a big question: Are they working for God, or is it something more evil?
