Sword of the Demon Hunter Anime Expands with New Arc: All You Need to Know

Sword of the Demon Hunter anime enters a new arc with a fresh cast, songs, and a time-spanning story.
The anime Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho now started its next big chapter with episode 14, entering the Bakumatsu arc. This part brings in new characters, opening and ending songs, plus a new key visual to show the shift.
The opening this time is “Ash” by [Alexandros], while the ending theme “Enrin” is performed by FAKE TYPE. These songs gonna match the new arc’s mood, which feels more serious and tense than before.
Also, some new cast got added. Toshihiko Seki is doing the voice of Yasuhide Hatakeyama, while Kenichiro Matsuda playing Tsuchiura. Kazuya Nakai comes in as Kiichi Okada. These actors are known from other popular anime, and now joining this story as it gets closer to the time of Meiji.
New Staff and Design Keep Series Fresh
The anime comes from a novel series written by Motoo Nakanishi with art by Tamaki, released by Futabasha in Japan. In English, Seven Seas Entertainment publishes both the books and the manga version, which is drawn by Yu Satomi.
The anime is made at Yokohama Animation Laboratory, where Kazuya Aiura is directing. Deko Akao is writing the series composition, and Taro Ikegami is in charge of how the characters look. This team helps give the anime its strong style, mixing historical time and a fantasy world.
A Story Across the Times with Sword and Demon
The anime got its start on March 31 and now streams with a simulcast on HIDIVE. It tells the story of Jinta, a boy who comes with his little sister Suzune to a village in the mountains during the Edo period. He grew up there and became the guardian of a shrine maiden named Itsukihime.

But then he meets a strange demon inside forest, who talks about things from the far future and speaks of the Demon God coming. That meeting starts a long story that a demon moved from Edo through different periods, until Heisei. Jinta keeps fighting demons while trying to understand what it means to hold the demon-hunter’s sword.
