Takopi’s Original Sin Anime Premieres June 28 on Netflix and Prime Video

Takopi’s Original Sin anime is coming out on June 28. It's gonna stream on Netflix, Prime Video, ABEMA and few other places too. The makers just shared a new short promo video which gives a quick look of the show and what kind of tone it have.

This anime is based on Taizan 5’s manga. It got famous because it mix cute characters and serious topics. The anime will only be 6 episode, but fans already thinking it will be very emotional.

A Cute Alien With Sad Mission

Takopi, a jellyfish-like creature, come from Happy Planet to Earth. He wanna spread happiness everywhere. But the first girl he met, Shizuka, she don’t smile even once. Her school and home problems seem making her unhappy all the time.

Takopi try help her using strange things from his planet. He don’t understand humans good but still wants fix everything. As he try harder, more secrets start showing up and story becomes more dark. It's not what Takopi expect at all.

The opening theme “Happy Lucky Chappy” is sing by ano, who already known for unique song style.

It’s not a long series but Takopi’s Original Sin still can give strong story. The anime look cute but inside it have lot of sadness too. It is not easy to fix someone’s pain, even when you trying with full heart.

The show is not like normal anime with battles or fantasy. It more about emotions and trying do good things even when hard. With this creative team and strong music, it might become a surprise hit for 2025.

If you like meaningful short anime, this one could be worth to watch when it comes end of June.
