The Barbarian’s Bride Unveils Main Trailer Ahead of October 2025 Premiere

The new anime reboot of The Barbarian's Bride has dropped its main trailer, which guarantees its release in October 2025. The trailer features dramatic sequences from the show and introduces staff members working on the production, as well as the main protagonists.

Studied and produced by Studio Jumondo, the anime is an adaptation of the manga by Noriaki Kotoba. The story revolves around Serafina de Lavillant, referred to as the West's strongest female knight. Sent to put down the Eastern tribes, her mission fails. Imprisoned and captured, Serafina prepares for the worst—only to be surprised when the leader of the enemy, Veor, suggests marriage rather than condemnation. What starts as an uncomfortable partnership could unravel a greater tale of perception, power, and humanity.

The voice cast are led by Sayumi Suzushiro as Serafina and Satoshi Inomata as Veor. Supporting characters include Hana Hishikawa as Tsetsi and Aki Toyosaki as Alyssa Martias.  

 

Takashi Yamazaki is the director of the project, having previously worked on BLUE LOCK. Miya Asakawa is responsible for series composition, and Masayoshi Kikuchi has charge of character design. Mayumi Fujita and Hajime Hatakeyama assist in design and animation direction, with Luhao Jin handling sub-character design. Alisa Okehazama is responsible for music, having previously worked on The Apothecary Diaries.

Other important personnel are Shiori Shirasaki (props), Lee Hak-min (art direction), Ryusuke Araki (color), Lin Lian Chan (3D direction), Kim Yong-seok (photography), Jin Aketagawa (sound direction), and Yusuke Ueno (editing). Visual direction is taken care of by Koji Sugimoto, with animation production by Seiji Mizaki and Hajime Kamata.

The anime is a mix of fantasy, love, and political drama, all set to showcase a sensitive portrayal of war and unforeseen relationships. With its elaborate backdrop and complicated characters, The Barbarian's Bride is going to be one of the Fall 2025 season's top titles.
