Turkey! -Time to Strike- Anime Set to Premiere in July 2025 with Exciting New Trailer

A new trailer for Turkey! -Time to Strike- just came out today, and it shows the anime will starts airing on Japanese TV on July 8 at 25:29 JST, which actually means early morning July 9 at 1:29. Along with the trailer, there is a preview of the opening song called "Zinnia," sung by cast members Hana Hishikawa, Kana Ichinose, Haruki Iwata, Yuki Tenma, and Ayasa Ito, all performing as their characters.

Susumu Kudo, who directed Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, is directing this anime at studio BAKKEN RECORDS. The scripts is written by Naomi Hiruta. Airi Takegawa, who worked on Ippon! Again, is designing the characters. The music done by Yuki Hayashi, known for Haikyu!!.

Story Overview and Themes

The story follows Mai, who is called a “genius who never wins.” She’s in Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club with her teammates Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase. The show tells how they fight, falls down, and get back up while chasing victory. It’s described as a mysterious, precious, and bittersweet story, not just simple fun one. The title “Turkey” refers to getting three strikes in bowling one after another. It’s about last chapter of a summer in their lives.

The trailer shows some bowling action and some tension between main characters. It also plays part of the opening theme “Hyakunichisou,” sung by the cast as the Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club from Nagano Prefecture. The anime is also going to be available worldwide in July 2025.
