Upcoming Anime Film "Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved" to Premiere in June 2025

The popular anime Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is getting its first movie, called “Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved”. It will come out in Japan on June 27, 2025, in 199 theaters. There will also be 4DX and MX4D versions, which add motion, smells, and other effects for a more fun experience.

A Story About Friendship and Growth

 

 

The story is about Miss Kobayashi, a normal office worker who lives a quiet life. Her life changes when she saves a dragon. The dragon, Tohru, becomes a human girl with horns and a tail. Tohru decides to stay with Miss Kobayashi to thank her. Tohru has a strong personality and loves Miss Kobayashi. She brings both chaos and warmth to Miss Kobayashi's life. The film will show how their bond grows and the challenges they face.

A Franchise Full of Heart and Humor

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid begun as a manga by Coolkyoushinja in 2013. It mixes daily life with fantasy and comedy, so many anime fans like it.  It was made into two TV seasons. The second season aired in 2021. Both seasons were streamed on Crunchyroll and Funimation, gaining fans outside Japan.
