Why Solo Leveling Season 3 Delay Until 2028 May Actually Be Good Thing

Solo Leveling Season 3 delay to 2028 may benefit quality and creative production.

Some individuals are upset upon learning that Solo Leveling Season 3 is not likely to come until 2028. They find it too long a wait. Others, however, appreciate it more. The wait is not only for teasing the audience or building hype. It has its motives. Anime studios have to work with a schedule, quality, and personnel. And because Solo Leveling turned out to be more popular than they expected, this wait is not that unusual.

Solo Leveling Season 3 Delayed 2028

Producing anime is not an easy task. The team has to deal with so many things, such as animation, sound, and the time of release, all at once. Initially, the plan for Solo Leveling was to be released as one large season. But then part two turned into Season 2 due to scheduling conflicts. Now that all this is happening, the team cannot work fast. They were already occupied before the show suddenly became such a success.

Long-time fans of anime understand delays like this are commonplace. Big shows such as Re: Zero or Attack on Titan also had many years between seasons. Occasionally, a change of studios or personnel working creates the gap. But many times, waiting makes the anime better and more complete. So it's not unusual that they need additional years for Solo Leveling.

Not Like Western Shows

Some people believe anime seasons are released each year, such as Netflix or others. But anime is not like that. Studio groups have fewer numbers and produce many shows simultaneously. Even well-known anime cannot just go on quickly because the behind-the-scenes work is enormous. Voice acting, script, and drawing take a long period of time.

When such shows gain popularity quickly, there is pressure. But if they hurry for the next season, they might end up with a bad result. More time allows them some space to think and work slowly. In that way, they do not make mistakes or get stressed. If they rush excessively, it can turn out to be like Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, where there are issues in animation perceived by some fans.

Waiting Might Be Worth It?

It's difficult to wait four more years. But that does not necessarily equal trouble. It can indicate they want to do it correctly. Anime is evolving, and with so many fans these days, the work has to remain equitable to creators as well. Delays can irritate fans, but they also provide a stronger season down the line. For Solo Leveling, waiting until 2028 may be ill—perhaps something better is on the horizon.
