Steam announces Spring Sale for 2023; Steam Seasonal Sale schedule for 2022 released

The first-ever Steam Spring Sale will take place from March 16th to 23rd, 2023. As for the next Steam Sale, it's in October to celebrate Halloween by discounting horror video games.
Steam has finally introduced the Spring Sale to its lineup. Now, there’s a sale for all seasons of the year, giving gamers another major opportunity to get the best deals and expand their library. Sadly, the Spring Sale will be replacing the Lunar New Year Sale, starting from 2023. Steam has been hosting the Lunar New Year Sale since 2016 to promote developers from China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan. Here’s when the first Spring Sale will be taking place.
Steam Spring Sale
The first-ever Steam Spring Sale will take place from March 16th to 23rd, 2023. Valve said there was “a popular request from our developer and publisher community” for a Spring Sale. Also, the addition of the Spring Sale creates a much better space between the four major seasonal sales, as per Valve. The company also mentioned that they’ve received feedback about the Lunar New Year sale being too close to the Winter Sale.
Valve has also released the Steam Sale dates for the Autumn and Winter Sale. Steam Autumn Sale will commence on November 22nd and run through until November 29th. As for the Steam Winter Sale, it will start on December 22nd, 2022 and ends on January 5th, 2023. Dates for next year's Steam Summer Sale are yet to be revealed.

“It will allow us to create more space between our four major seasonal sales and provide more opportunities throughout the year for developers to expand and execute their discounting calendar", said Valve in a Steam blog when addressing the new Spring Sale addition.
Lunar New Year Sale and upcoming Halloween Sale 2022
As for the fate of the Lunar New Year, Valve thinks that "many publishers will still opt to discount games around the Lunar New Year holiday" as they would have the custom discount tools to do so. However, they believe that customers would be "better served by a little bit more time between the big Steam-wide seasonal sales".
The next upcoming Steam Sale for 2022 will be the Halloween Sale 2022. It'll start next month on October 25th and ends on November 1st. Expect games from horror genre to be discounted during the sale.
