Sony India is all set to kick-start the pre-orders for its latest generation consoles in the Indian market. As per the announcement, the company will put up both the regular PlayStation 5 and PS5 Digital Edition for pre-order. This announcement comes months after the company conducted the first PlayStation 5 console sale. Initial information outlined that Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will only be limited to the online Sony Center website. In addition to the consoles, Sony is already selling other PS5 accessories including the Controller and Media Remote. Sony PlayStation 5 Series pre-orders to go live at 12 PM, details
The entertainment giant first shared the information around the pre-order through its retail partners last week. This list of partners includes PrepaidGamerCard, Flipkart, Games The Shop, Amazon India, Croma, and Reliance Digital. This PlayStation 5 series restock comes after months of speculations and likely delays due to COVID-19. Sony has not outlined the actual delivery and sale dates around the console as part of the pre-order announcement. However, a report from IGN India stated that buyers will likely get the deliveries by May 24.
Delivery date for buyers across India may depend on the state of lockdown due to the second wave of COVID-19. Sony has already placed a disclaimer around the delivery on its Shop at SC platform. Some platforms like Amazon India and Flipkart may not allow buyers to place orders depending on delivery restrictions. Sony has also not shared the number of units it will put out as part of the second pre-order for the console lineup.
PS5 series pricing details; Where to place the pre-order
Sony PlayStation 5 console will go on sale at Rs. 49,990 while the Digital Edition will be priced at Rs. 39,990. Besides the console lineup, the DualSense wireless controller is priced at Rs. 5,990. Media Remote is available at Rs. 2.590, and Sony PlayStation 5 HD Camera is priced at Rs. 5,190.
PS5 buyers can also purchase Marvel’s Spiderman Miles Morales, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure at Rs. 3,999. Other games like Returnal, Ratchet, and Clank: Rift Apart, Marvel’s Spiderman Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, and Demon’s Souls are priced at Rs. 4,999. As mentioned above, buyers can get the consoles on ShopAtSC, Amazon India, Flipkart, Games The Shop, Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital, and PrepaidGamerCard.
