Fortnite’s Reboot System Gets a Boost with Leaked "Enhanced Resurrection" Feature

Fortnite's leaked 'Enhanced Resurrection' may give rebooted players better gear and survival odds.

Epic Games is reportedly gearing up to transform Fortnite’s Reboot Van mechanics with an exciting new addition—the "Enhanced Resurrection" feature. According to recent leaks, this upgrade will give rebooted players better equipment, significantly increasing their chances of survival once they return to the battlefield.

A Reboot with a Competitive Edge

While Epic Games hasn’t officially announced a release date for the "Enhanced Resurrection" feature, it’s speculated to arrive either later this season or in Chapter 6, Season 2, which runs until May 2, 2025. Until then, fans are left wondering how this change could reshape Fortnite’s ever-evolving combat dynamics.

Currently, players revived via the Reboot Van return with just a Pistol, leaving them exposed and at a serious disadvantage. However, leaks suggest the new system will give rebooted players a Rare Holo Twister Assault Rifle, a Big Shield (1), extra ammunition, and building materials in Battle Royale mode. While not an overpowered loadout, it’s a major step up from the current system allowing rebooted players to rejoin the action with a fighting chance rather than being easy eliminations.

The leaks come from trusted Fortnite insiders @Loolo_WRLD and @Wensoing on X (formerly Twitter), both known for their accurate predictions about upcoming content. However, as with all leaks, this information is subject to change, as Epic Games has yet to confirm or officially reveal the feature.

How This Could Change Fortnite’s Meta

If implemented, the "Enhanced Resurrection" feature could significantly impact Fortnite’s squad-based strategies. Reviving a teammate could become a tactical advantage rather than a desperate last resort. With rebooted players returning better equipped, squads would be more inclined to take risks and maintain an aggressive playstyle.

This shift could lead to higher-intensity matches, where securing a Reboot Card becomes a game-changing move. Instead of avoiding fights to protect under-equipped teammates, squads may prioritize revivals knowing that rebooted players can immediately contribute to the battle.

A Possible Reboot Van Overhaul?

It’s unclear whether the "Enhanced Resurrection" feature will be part of a larger Reboot Van upgrade or if it will function as a standalone mechanic. Given that Reboot Vans are Fortnite’s primary revival tool, Epic Games may be planning a comprehensive overhaul to keep the system fresh and competitive.
