With the update going live on April 11, 2025, NetEase has introduced a host of changes affecting nearly every character class—from tanky Vanguards to agile Duelists and supportive Strategists—all designed to refine gameplay and ensure a more balanced, engaging experience.
List of Balance Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2
VANGUARD
Captain America

Base health reduced from 675 to 650.
- Living Legend shield reduced from 400 to 350.
Doctor Strange
- Daggers of Denak damage per projectile lowered from 18 to 16.
- Maelstrom of Madness conversion ratio reduced from 1.3 to 1.2.
Hulk
- Base movement speed increased from 600 to 650.
- Indestructible Guard cooldown reduced from 12s to 10s.
- Incredible Leap minimum charge time lowered from 0.7s to 0.5s.
Magneto
- Meteor M (Ultimate) energy cost increased from 3100 to 3400.
Peni Parker
- Cyber-Web Cluster can now crit.
- Movement speed penalty while firing reduced from 40% to 20%.
- Base health increased from 650 to 750.
The Thing
- Embattled Leap damage reduction lowered from 30% to 25%.
Thor
- Base health increased from 525 to 600.
- Base movement speed increased from 600 to 650.
DUELIST
Black Widow
- Can now shoot immediately after Edge Dancer’s second kick and Electro-Plasma Explosion.
Hawkeye
- Bow charge slow reduced from 30% to 20%.
- Hypersonic Arrow damage increased from 50 to 55.
- Hunter’s Sight energy cost reduced from 3700 to 3100; bow draw speed improved from 1.35x to 1.5x.
Hela
- Astral Flock cooldown increased from 12s to 15s.
- Piercing Night spell field damage increased from 30 to 35.
- Soul Drainer cooldown reduced from 12s to 10s.
Human Torch
- Fire Cluster attack interval reduced from 0.6s to 0.5s.
- Flaming Meteor cooldown increased from 12s to 15s.
- Grants 75 Bonus Health post-activation; decays after 3s at 30 per second.
Iron Man
- Hitbox slightly reduced.
- Armor/Gamma Overdrive grants 100 Bonus Health, decaying at 30 per second over 5s.
Iron Fist
- Harmony Recovery Bonus Max Health reduced from 150 to 100; decay slowed from 25/s to 15/s.
- Yat Jee Chung Kuen fixed damage lowered from 10 to 9; percentage damage increased from 1.7% to 2.1%.
- K’un-Lun Kick cooldown reduced from 12s to 10s.
Mister Fantastic
- Base health increased from 350 to 375.
- Stretch Punch damage increased: 60→65, Inflated state 75→80.
- Flexible Elongation now slows enemies by 35%; cooldown reduced from 10s to 8s.
Moon Knight
- Crescent Dart projectile speed increased from 120 to 150 m/s.
- Moon Blade grants 25 Bonus Health per hit (max 100), decays after 3s.
- Moonlight Hook pull startup reduced from 0.4s to 0.15s.
- Hand of Khonshu duration increased from 3.5s to 4.5s; talon count raised from 14 to 18.
Scarlet Witch
- Chaos Control reworked to fixed 80/s damage (from 60/s %).
- Chthonian Burst damage increased from 35 to 40.
- Mystic Projection cooldown increased from 8s to 10s; Phased time reduced from 2s to 1.5s.
- Reality Erasure slowly ramps from 0% to 35% over 3.5s.
Star-Lord
- Blaster Barrage damage reduced from 80/s to 75/s.
- New damage falloff starts at 4m, maxing at 80% reduction at 8m.
Winter Soldier
- Bionic Hook cooldown increased from 8s to 12s.
- Kraken Impact base damage reduced from 100 to 80; culling threshold lowered from 20% to 15%.
Wolverine
- Rage from Savage Claw increased from 7 to 10.
- Rage from Berserk Claw reduced from 7 to 5.
- Feral Leap Rage reduced from 20 to 10; Vicious Rampage Rage lowered from 20 to 15.
- Rage gained from damage taken increased from 3 to 5.
- Last Stand knockdown time reduced from 1s to 0.75s.
STRATEGIST
Adam Warlock
- Soul Bond cooldown increased from 30s to 40s.
- Karmic Revival now restores 30% of max health (instead of flat 100).
Cloak and Dagger
- Healing zones from Eternal Bond now persist together until the final zone ends.
Invisible Woman
- Guardian Shield value reduced from 300 to 250.
Loki
- Regeneration Domain cooldown increased from 25s to 30s.
Mantis
- Base health reduced from 275 to 250.
- Healing Flower and Allied Inspiration max stack duration capped at 16s.
Rocket Raccoon
- Repair Mode healing reduced from 70/s to 50/s; adds 55 instant healing to hit allies.
- Projectile speed slowly increased from 4.5 to 7 m/s.
- Jetpack Dash cooldown increased from 6s to 10s; range reduced from 10m to 8m.
- C.Y.A. damage boost reduced from 40% to 25%; grants 100 Bonus Health/s (max 150), decays after 1s at 75/s; energy cost increased from 3700 to 4000.

Arcane Order (Doctor Strange – Scarlet Witch)
- Doctor Strange gains +100 max health.
- Scarlet Witch unlocks Mystic Burst.
Stars Aligned (Captain America – Winter Soldier)
- Captain America gains +100 max health and +5% damage.
- Winter Soldier unlocks Stellar Impact.
Mental Projection (Emma Frost – Psylocke/Magneto)
- Emma Frost gains +100 max health.
- Magneto unlocks Magnetic Resonance.
- Psylocke unlocks Soul Resurgence.
ADJUSTED / REMOVED:
Ammo Overload (Rocket Raccoon – Winter Soldier)
- Winter Soldier loses Infinite Grit.
Chilling Charisma (Luna Snow – Namor)
- Namor loses Frozen Spawn.
Dimensional Shortcut (Magik – Psylocke)
- Psylocke loses Psionic Disc.
Gamma Charge (Hulk – Doctor Strange/Namor)
- Doctor Strange loses Gamma Maelstrom.
- Namor gains Gamma Monstro.
Metallic Chaos (Scarlet Witch – Magneto)
- Scarlet Witch’s team-up bonus removed.
- Magneto loses Metallic Fusion.
Voltaic Union (Thor – Captain America/Storm)
- Thor loses the anchor effect.
- Captain America loses Charged Aegis.
- Storm loses Charged Gale.
