Solo Levelling ARISE Championship 2025 Recap: OhReung Takes the Throne

The curtain has closed on Netmarble’s inaugural Solo Levelling: ARISE Championship 2025 (SLC 2025), a global showdown that brought together the world’s finest hunters in a spectacular offline finale held in South Korea. After weeks of fierce competition, OhReung emerged as the first-ever SLC Champion, delivering a blazing-fast 2-minute and 57-second total run across four dungeons in the game’s competitive Battlefield of Time mode. OhReung’s victory earned him the top prize of KRW 10 million (~ USD 6,934), along with a premium LG gram Pro 360 laptop and the honour of etching his name in Solo Levelling history.

A Global Stage for Elite Hunters

Running from February 21 to April 12, 2025, the SLC 2025 was the first global esports competition for Solo Levelling: ARISE, expanding beyond prior Korea-exclusive tournaments. The finals featured 16 elite players, 8 from the Asia League and 8 from the International League, all of whom qualified by accumulating over 1,000 season points during Season 7 of Battlefield of Time.

The competition culminated in an electrifying finale where players raced against the clock through four uniquely designed dungeons, emphasising speed, precision, and strategy in a time-attack format. With KRW 20 million (~ $13,869) on the line, tensions were high, and every second mattered.

• Each participant had to showcase not only raw speed but also strategic mastery over four unique dungeons. Ultimately, only the top eight players from each league advanced to the live Grand Finals in South Korea, setting the stage for a truly international clash of champions.
