"Transformed by Ultron into a cold, merciless mechanical world," Marvel Rivals Devs Shed Light on New Marvel Rivals Map Arakko Lore

Ahead of the Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 update, the developers have revealed a unique lore about the new Marvel Rivals map Arakko. In the recent Dev Talk that was released on their YouTube channel, the developers shared details about the upcoming Strategist, Ultron, and how his arrival in the game has brought the map's lore. 

The map is categorized as a Convoy map, which is known to be the already existing map, Krakoa's sister. 

New Marvel Rivals Map Arakko Lore Explored in Marvel Rivals 2.5 Update

Arakko has a big and complicated history in Marvel Comics, especially in the context of more modern X-Men stories, known collectively as the Krakoan Age. Its specifics are also closely linked to mutant history and intergalactic politics.

The Dev Talk started with the introduction to the new map and Guangguang, the Creative Director of the game started the lore of the map by saying, "Once Krakoa's sister island Arakko has lost all its vitality transformed by Ultron into a cold merciless mechanical world."

He then continued the conversation by reassuring the audience by saying that the fight isn't over yet but the heroes will regroup after the setback they faced at the hands of Ultron, and they "must now join forces with Krakoa to save Arakko."

Marvel Rivals Arakko Map Release Date

The Arakko map will be added to the game on May 30, when the Season 2.5 update rolls out. If you want to jump right into the game after server maintenance, you will have to check out the Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 maintenance server schedule for all the regions. 

The game's update size and overall size of the game have also been revealed. According to leaker, X0XLEAK, the game's size is going to be 59.6 GB and the full game's size will be 73.7 GB.
