"2077 was just a warm-up" says Cyberpunk Dev as we should look forward to more!

Guess what? The storytelling maestro for Cyberpunk 2077's sequel just spilled the beans on his hype after cruising through his first day at CD Projekt Red's spanking new Boston studio.

Yeah, they've got a whole setup dedicated to cooking up the next installment of Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077 snagged the Best Ongoing Game award at The Game Awards 2023, giving CD Projekt Red a well-deserved pat on the back for bouncing back from the rocky launch. Remember the hype around Cyberpunk 2077? Yeah, the game with the futuristic vibes and CD Projekt Red's stellar reputation. Well, it hit a bit of a snag at launch – bugs and unfinished features, you name it. But hold up, CD Projekt Red isn't throwing in the towel. Nope, they're diving headfirst into Cyberpunk 2, and this time, they're all about doing things differently. Fans are totally onboard for the Cyberpunk saga's next chapter, and it looks like the developers are riding that same wave of excitement.

CD Projekt Red's Narrative Director, Igor Sarzynski, spilled the beans on Twitter: "First day in the Boston office! Catching up with old pals and officially kicking off our Orion journey. Super stoked for this project, and I'm confident we can make it something special. 2077 was just a warm-up." Looks like they're doubling down on the lessons learned from Cyberpunk 2077, gearing up for the next big thing – Cyberpunk 2, codenamed Orion. The hype is real, even though they're keeping the deets under wraps for now. Get ready for another epic ride!

But wait, there's more Cyberpunk tea! Philipp Weber, another narrative director in the Cyberpunk squad, spilled the beans too. He's gunning for Cyberpunk 2 to level up the life path game. Remember how hyped everyone was about choosing life paths in Cyberpunk 2077? Well, turns out, as you progressed, it got a bit meh. Weber's on a mission to change that. While the Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts are amped up for the sequel, they've also got a reality check – some not-so-stellar news had to be served.

December brought the news straight from CD Projekt Red's mouth – Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.1 marked the end of the major content drops. Now, they're shifting gears, eyes locked on Cyberpunk 2, The Witcher 4, and other mysteries they're brewing up. After a bumpy ride, Cyberpunk 2077 is finally flexing its polished form, somewhat like the dream CD Projekt Red first sold us. The Phantom Liberty expansion was the pat on the back the devs needed, proving they're still in the game for a worthy sequel. But, fair warning to eager fans, the wait for Cyberpunk 2 might just test your patience. After all, Cyberpunk 2077's launch was, let's say, not a stroll in the Night City park.
