Hades 2: Would the game be available on both PCs and consoles?

Guess what's currently chilling in early access? Well yes, it's our beloved Hades 2! Since that's the case- only a select few can dive into the underworld right away. But fear not, mortals! A full release is on its way, and with it, the promise of hitting consoles down the line. So, get ready to embark on another epic journey through the realms, because Zagreus isn't done yet!

Hades 2 has made its debut in early access, giving Supergiant Games the chance to fine-tune the experience based on player feedback. However, this means that console players will have to hold tight for a bit longer before they can embark on this epic journey. While PC players are already diving into the underworld, fans on Nintendo Switch, Xbox, or PlayStation 5 will need to exercise a bit of patience. But fear not, the wait will surely be worth it once Hades 2 makes its grand entrance on consoles! As of now, Hades 2 hasn't been assigned a console release date.

While the game is currently available in early access primarily on PC platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store, Supergiant Games is likely working on a console version behind the scenes. Given their track record with Hades, it's safe to assume that a console release is on the horizon. In the meantime, fans can expect further enhancements and content updates for the PC version as the game progresses through its early access phase.

When Hades initially launched in early access back in December 2018, it wasn't until the 1.0 release in September 2020 that the game made its way to the Nintendo Switch. Subsequently, it took nearly a year for Hades to become available on Xbox and PlayStation platforms. However, the timeline for Hades 2's console release may differ, given the advanced state of development.

There's a possibility that Xbox players might get their hands on the game earlier, thanks to the Xbox Game Preview program, which allows early access titles to launch on the platform simultaneously across PC and console. While this option isn't available for PlayStation or Nintendo players at the moment, it's an avenue that Microsoft might further explore to bring more early access titles to its platform in the future.
