Dr. STONE Final Season to Hit Japanese Theaters with Special Events

The final season of Dr. STONE, called Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE, will be showing in few theaters in Japan. This news was announced on May 26, 2025. The event will show highlights from Cour 1 and give a sneak peek of Cour 2. Fans can expect some fun and exciting moments as the anime ends.

To get everyone ready for what's next, a recap event is planned for three Saturdays in June on the 7th, 14th and 21st. It will take place in theaters across Japan. Each screening will show four episodes, giving fans a fast way to catch up. An early screening for Cour 2 will take place in Tokyo on June 28. The event is at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, and fans will be able to watch the first three episodes before they air on TV. Voice actors Yusuke Kobayashi and Kenji Nojima, who plays Senku and Dr. Xeno, will come to the stage and talk to the audience.

People who attend will gets a special postcard that has the key visual for Cour 2.If you can't go to Tokyo, don't worry, the stage talk will also be shown live in other theaters. Tickets will be sold using a lottery system from May 28 at 11:00 a.m. on Ticket Pia. Be sure to apply on time or you might miss out.
 

From Stones to Rockets

The anime started way back in summer 2019 with 24 episodes. After that, Stone Wars aired in January 2021, and it had 11 episodes. There was also a special episode about Ryusui that dropped in July 2022. In 2023, the third season called New World aired in two parts and had 23 episodes in total.

Right after the last episode of Season 3, the creators already said that the next one will be the last season. So fans has been knowing the end was coming.

The anime is based on a manga created by Riichiro Inagaki and drawn by Boichi. The manga finished in 2022 after 232 chapters and five years. It tell the story of Senku Ishigami, a super smart kid who tries to bring back human civilization after everyone turns into stone. Their journey has been long and hard, and now the team is aiming for space. But they’ll have to face new enemies like Dr. Xeno and Stanley Snyder along the way.
